Giacometti Committee
The Giacometti Committee is comprised of all of Alberto Giacometti’s beneficiaries:
– the Fondation Giacometti, Paris
– the Alberto Giacometti-Stiftung, Zürich (Alberto Giacometti Foundation, Zurich)
– the heirs of the late Silvio Berthoud (,the Berthoud estate‘)
The Giacometti Committee verifies the authenticity of works by Alberto Giacometti submitted to it (paintings, sculptures, drawings and decorative art objects) and delivers certificates of authenticity or expert opinions. The Giacometti Committee oversees restorations of the artist's works in order to ensure the respect of the integrity of the works. The seat of the Giacometti Committee is at the Fondation Giacometti in Paris.
